Product Description

JVCC ATG1 ATG Tape Dispenser is a hand-held applicator gun for ATG transfer tape that automatically winds up the liner as you apply tape. It takes 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch ATG rolls; 1/4 inch rolls also fit, though they may slide on the wider spool and some users add an empty spool center to keep them in place. Check the compatibility matrix below to see which ATG refills fit the ATG1.

The durable plastic dispenser is made in Italy and is a sturdy, economical choice for framing, crafting, gift wrapping, scrapbooking and packaging. Customers report years of weekly use and say it survives drops and outlasts lightweight craft-store guns, though it is a bit bulkier. Loading takes a little practice the first time, so follow the steps in the instructions. Squeeze the trigger to apply tape and release it to stop. Dispenser color varies by lot.

Please see listing below to confirm which ATG refill rolls work in which ATG dispensers (you can also watch a YouTube video demonstrating the compatibility between ATG refill rolls and ATG guns).

Instructions

  1. Peel off the clear starter leader at the beginning of the refill roll; it is separate from the liner.
  2. Place the roll on the center spool with the tape running down clockwise, and press it until it snaps onto the spool. The roll should not spin freely unless the trigger is held down.
  3. Run the tape over the top of the rear roller and then under the front roller.
  4. When loading for the first time, peel the adhesive off the liner by hand at the front roller so only the liner continues back, and wind past any printed leader where adhesive has not started.
  5. Run the liner back over the tape roll and under the liner take-up spool, keep it level and secure the end in one of the slits on the take-up spool.
  6. Hold the trigger down while drawing the dispenser across the surface to apply tape. Release the trigger and pull the dispenser away to stop.
  7. If the liner breaks or telescopes, the tension is too high; if it will not wind, the tension is too low. For a visual guide, see the ATG loading instructions.

Great buy
JVCC ATG1 ATG Tape Dispenser
I do a lot of paper crafting and I have had this gun for over 10 years! Just replaced it last month. It is a great buy. A little bulkier than normal ones sold in Craft stores, but once you get used to it, it is so much more economical. Highly recommend it.

JVCC ATG1 ATG Tape Dispenser
I had read the previous reviews about using the 1/4 inch tape in this tape gun and that there were some fit issues but that it did work. It does, just not as well as I had hoped.

Love my ATG!
JVCC ATG1 ATG Tape Dispenser
I use this ATG for scrapbooking and cardmaking, along with the acid neutral tape. I've had my ATG for almost two years and use it weekly. The gun is very sturdy, as it has taken a few falls. There is a slight learning curve when it comes to loading the tape, but once you've got it figured out it is very simple. This is a great value, especially when compared to other versions, and much more durable than the pink ATG sold elsewhere.

I would recommend this again
JVCC ATG1 ATG Tape Dispenser
For 1/4" tape: if you add an empty white tape spool center over the new tape in the dispenser, it will unwind smoothly! Works like a charm!

Works great
JVCC ATG1 ATG Tape Dispenser
I mainly use it for paper crafting. It holds the paper together well. I wish it came in a different color.
Made in the USA
hot melt rubber (synthetic)
Offers the widest range of application flexibility available. Exhibits excellent processing performance whether manually or automatically applied. Has superior tensile strength, adhesion properties and holding force which ensures consistent, reliable seals. Hot melt adhesive will bond faster to a surface which is referred to as quick-grab or quick-stick. It typically has higher tack (will feel stickier to the touch), but is also softer. It has lower heat resistance, shear resistance, and sometimes UV resistance than an acrylic adhesive. NOTE: it is called hot melt because the adhesive is applied hot by the manufacturer and then hardens as it cools (you do not need to apply heat to the tape yourself).
natural rubber
Properties are similar to that of hot melt rubber, but natural rubber often holds where other adhesives won't (recycled fibers, dust, cold, heat and heavy loads). It provides good overall adhesion and moisture resistance.
acrylic
Offer excellent performance, especially for applications in temperatures less than 40°F and greater then 120°F. It provides excellent clarity, has high shear strength, is usually more permanent/durable even when exposed to moisture, and it ages well over extended periods in fluorescent and sunlight. Since it remains clear for the life of the application and does not yellow over time it is ideal for applications such as sealing white cartons. While it has good initial adhesion it does take 24-48 hours to cure and to achieve its maximum bond strength (has gradual adhesion buildup). Another difference between hot melt rubber and acrylic adhesive is if you fold tape over making the two adhesive sides touch the acrylic adhesive will remain attached to the carrier (e.g. paper, film) while a hot melt adhesive will stick to itself and pull off of the carrier. It is the best choice for clarity, UV resistance and aging characteristics.
silicone
Is great for extreme temperature applications since silicone adhesive can work in continuous operating temperatures from -100°F to 500°F. They also exhibit good chemical resistance, retain electrical properties, and remove cleanly with little or no residue.
zinc oxide
Zinc oxide based adhesive formula is a skin-friendly adhesive which is commonly used on sports medicine tapes.
Thickness, AKA caliper or gauge, refers to the distance from one surface of a tape backing, or adhesive, to the other.
1 mil = 1/1000 of an inch
Examples: 1/16 inch = 62.5 mils; 1/32 inch = 31.25 mils
The cut level indicates how many grams of cutting load a glove can withstand from a sharp blade before being penetrated.
Lower gauge gloves are heavier - have thicker construction, fewer stiches knitted per inch and offer less dexterity.
Higher gauge gloves are lighter - have thinner/finer construction, more stitches knitted per inch and offer more dexterity.
Gloves offered typically runs from 7 to 18 (12 and 13 are in the middle of the scale).
