The 3M product is perfect. it went on easily and looks great. I also sprayed clear coat over it, and again, it worked great. I bought some cheap Chinese tape previously (couldn't find any other of the color or size I needed), and it cost me hours of extra work painting, and repainting a classic motorcycle fuel tank. Thank goodness I found the 3M tape!

I am using this tape to install insulated vapor-barrier on my roof rafters in my garage. Having this tape on the rafters lets me pull the insulated vapor-barrier tight between rafters and stick it down on the tape by hand to hold it. Then I use a laminate roller to press the vapor-barrier tight against the tape/rafter. The I can shoot fewer staples in later. This first tape then staple combination makes it easier to put up and a much tighter junction on the rafters. It is summer in San Diego and the tape seems to be doing fine in the heat, the key is to make sure it is pressed tight against both surfaces. The tapes adhesive needs to be pressed tight on the surfaces to cure and bond it’s not liquid glue which flows and fills small gaps.

I am amazed at the removability of 4016. It also has a excellentadhesion for a wide temperature range. The 4016 tape is highlyrecommended.

These gaffer tapes are exactly as described, no residue and don't damage surfaces. Just completed a sound job where the hall management did not want tape used on their hardwood surfaces, after I demonstrated how safe this tape was we were allowed to tape power and signsl all the way to the FOH station giving greater safety to audience preventing tripping on cables. Very timely delivery too!

Tape was excellent for creating razor cut and stick graphics. Tape adhesive stayed with tape from metal cutting board to placement. Adhesion on various surfaces was great with no unintended peel-up. Great stuff
