Product Description
Bondo Fiberglass Cloth is a strong, woven fiberglass reinforcement used with Bondo Fiberglass Resin to repair holes, cracks and gaps in fiberglass, metal, wood and concrete. Saturated with resin, the cloth adds structural strength where resin alone would not be enough, and the cured repair is waterproof, sandable and paintable. It is a versatile repair material for automobiles, boats and other watercraft, tubs, showers, sinks, pools and hot tubs. Bondo is a 3M brand.
The 0.20 mm cloth is slightly thinner and more flexible than Bondo Fiberglass Mat, so it conforms to curved surfaces such as fenders, doors and hoods, is easier to work with, and is easier to hide when finishing. It cuts cleanly with scissors for uniform repairs. Fiberglass cloth will not absorb moisture, rust or rot, is non-flammable, resists most chemicals, and does not expand or shrink with temperature changes.

Instructions
- Cut away the damaged area and any loose pieces.
- Sand the repair area and 2 to 3 inches beyond it down to bare metal or fiberglass with 80-grit paper or a 40-grit disc, then clean with a low-VOC cleaner.
- Pre-cut pieces of fiberglass cloth that extend 2 to 3 inches past the repair.
- Mix Bondo Fiberglass Resin with its liquid hardener in a clean, wax-free cup (10 drops of hardener per 1 oz of resin). Mix only what you can apply within the 8 to 12 minute working time at 75 degrees F.
- Brush a coat of mixed resin over the repair area, extending 2 to 3 inches beyond it.
- Press the first layer of cloth into the wet resin, then brush more resin into the cloth, dabbing to saturate it and release air pockets.
- Add more layers while the previous layer is still wet. If a layer has hardened, sand it with 80-grit paper before adding the next. For repairs that can be reached from both sides, repeat on the back side.
- Allow about 2 hours to cure at 75 degrees F; cooler temperatures take longer. Do not overheat the repair, as cracking can occur.
- Smooth with 180-grit paper and featheredge into the surrounding surface, then apply primer, paint or gel coat.
- Clean brushes and tools with acetone or lacquer thinner while the resin is still wet. Do not pour mixed resin back into the can.
